A 1 1/2 hour constitutional assessment by a trained ayurvedic practitioner is offered to determine your individual constitution type (your “dosha”) and explore its strengths and challenges, understand imbalances that may be causing problems and methods to manage and reverse them.

Pancha Karma Therapy (Multiple sessions)

A thorough body detoxification and cleansing therapy. It is advised that one undergo this therapy yearly during either summer or at the change of seasons. It promotes weight loss in a healthy way through cleansing herbs and a diet rid of harmful, toxin-causing foods and includes an ayurvedic consultation, pre-care and follow-up care (closely supervised and monitored by an ayurvedic practitioner and including nutritional guidance) and (at a minimum, depending on the client’s individual needs) 7 massage treatments (steam included), 2 shirodhara, 2 nasya, 2 netra basti and 2 basti, among others determined by the client's individual needs. Pancha Karma must be scheduled at least 30 days (one month) in advance of its anticipated start date, and a minimum of one week's scheduled treatment is required. An initial consultation must be scheduled with the practitioner. Because of specific procedural requirements for the effective administration of this therapy, it is strongly suggested that individuals planning on this procedure telephone the Wellness Center's director at (305) 380-0652.

Reiki (1 hour)

This simple, non-invasive healing system works with the energetic body of the client to promote health and well being of the entire physical, emotional and psychic body, truly a system of attaining and promoting wholeness of Mind, Body and Spirit. Reiki is a specific type of subtle energy work in which healing is performed by the touch or by the intention of the practitioner (it can be performed in a hands-on or touchless manner, in close proximity or at a great distance), allowing the flow of the energy from a limitless source to the client via the Reiki practitioner. It is extremely powerful, yet gentle energy that fosters stress reduction and relaxation, which triggers the body's natural healing abilities.

Bach Flower Remedies (1 hour, initial visit/30 minutes, follow-up sessions)

The Bach Flower Essences, or Bach Remedies, are naturally-derived, non-toxic energetic extracts of flowering plants intended to maintain or restore a state of health and balance. Negative emotional states are believed to be among the earliest precursors of actual disease, and signs of specific emotional imbalances are assessed in an interview with the practitioner. Specific formulations of various remedies are prepared in accordance with each client's unique needs and constitution.
